About Us

Isha S. Chaney, LPC-MHSP

When people ask me why I chose to become a therapist, my answer… "It chose me!" I graduated from Tennessee Technological University in 2013 with my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and I have been practicing since. I am a therapist that provides services to all ages and diversified backgrounds. My focus is working with those who have experienced trauma. I provide trauma-focused therapy for children and adults using modalities that best suits the need of the client including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I have experience treating anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress and other issues that have created a dysfunction in my clients lives. I use a client centered approach that provides the journey in the client becoming their authentic self.  When I am not working, I like to spend time with my family, and I enjoy all sports and being outdoors.

Tara Cook, LPC-MHSP

I graduated with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tennessee Technological University in 2014. I have experience working in the inpatient, Intensive Outpatient, and Partial Hospitalization settings. During this time, I have developed an understanding of the importance of having someone provide non-judgmental support while addressing various issues including depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, stigma, suicidal thinking, and low self-esteem. My goal is to help clients increase awareness into thoughts and perspectives that may be impending them from addressing their behaviors and feelings. I think the most rewarding part of the counseling profession is to see a client have a moment of recognition leading to growth and self-improvement. Although my primary source of experience is with working with adults, I enjoy working with all ages and will utilize a variety of approaches tailored to the client’s individual needs.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, drinking a large cup of coffee, listening to music, and watching movies.
